In 2018 we renovated a 69-year-old Sukiya-zukuri style house architectural hanare cottage.

In 1949 the room was built in the style of a tea-ceremony house (Sukiya-zukuri) The cottage room was named by Master Omotesenke soutyusai sousyu who was the master of Omotesenke tea school of Japanese Way of Tea.
In 1952 a novelist Eiji Yoshikawa worked on one of his novels “The Heike Story: A Modern Translation of the Classic Tale of Love and War” in the cottage while his staying.
The room locates the deepest and the most peaceful property area of Iwaso.
You will be impressed by pure and beautiful Momijidani creek view when you put your body in the bathtub of this magnificent room like a great novelist in the past.

This is a story in the 40's of Meiji area(1907 - 1912).
At the time, 'Youkan(sweet jelly)' used to be the only one we could come up as a teacake.
